It's a busy bar and grill. Excellent dining with a menu of local favorites; surf and turf and typical grill fare. Generous portions and equally well prepared selections. Tropical drinks with an excellent selection of beers and soft drinks. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
We stopped for dinner...it was the lower priced option between the Brew Pub and this spot, but we were drawn in by the photo of the wings on the reviews page. We are suckers for good wings! THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! This place is solid, and for me, not a seafood guy, I can say this... -Wings (add in the hot-BBQ sauce for a nice kick!) -Thai Curry dish (any variety) -Steak Sandwich (it’s a full tender strip, cooked intact, then sliced and served on a roll. Truly amazing!) All 3 of the above were spot on solid from this family owned spot, near 17 years later or so, from what I recall from the server (Jesame was amazing!) This place is CAN’T MISS! Take a boat tour and stop here for dinner, you will not regret it!
Way better food than we expected, especially for the price! We had incredibly fresh sashimi, great poke nachos. And the seafood curry was better than what we had at the fancy expensive places like Red Salt and RumFire! Service was great too. Terrific meal, would definitely go back!
Wonderful restaurant! Not entirely perfect but pretty dang good. No wait as we came to eat and sat immediately. I ordered a pina colada and it was very good. Then we ordered the calamari steak and it was fantastic!! I ordered the fish and shrimp and it was pretty good. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was good. The ahi wasn’t too bad need to work on their blackening especially since I asked for extra seasoning and it was overcooked a bit. They asked what temperature and I said medium rare it came out closer to medium well; a little disappointing but was still good. The service was fast, attentive & friendly. Definitely worth going and highly recommend. Also some place that I’d return to.
This is the best and most flavorful meal we have had while in Kauai. Our Server Iesha was spot on with her recommendations. Service with a smile and very attentive. The fish & chips here were so good. So was the catch of the day and blackened shrimp. Fresh fish that was flaky, shrimp cooked perfectly, plump and juicy. Mom had the grilled catch of the day (Ono) with garlic-lemon butter sauce. Son had the curry shrimp. He dug in with gusto and almost licked the bowl clean. My order of coffee came out fresh brewed and piping hot. A casual dining experience with a partial view of the ocean. Parking was free.
Stopped down at the Port Allen Sunset Grill & Bar because it was inside the same mall area as the snorkeling place that we waited for friends, and we wanted something to eat and drink. Bambi was our high energy personable waitress, that ran the show with serving drinks and food. We sat on the patio area, my friend ordered a burger plate, and I had beers for lunch. The food was good, the beer was cold, the service awesome. There were numerous TV's on the patio area that Bambi set us up on to watch football. As we were watching the game, a guy came in with a bucket of fish for the restaurant's catch of the day, so we checked it out. The owner came over, and we got our picture taken with a fresh Mahi-mahi. Cool place, good food, good atmosphere, good vibe. Stop in if you get a chance and enjoy like we did!
The wait staff are friendly. Gave us the catch of the day option. We ordered the catch of the day Ono which made for a really fresh fish and chips. We also ordered the garlic shrimp which was an appetizer but they gave me a side of rice to make it a shrimp plate. Both dishes were very good and fresh. Recommend coming here for a visit.
So good we had to go again! We found this place while looking for dinner close to Hanapepe! Amazing food at an amazing price! We ordered the fish and chips, catch of the day, calamari, shrimp, and kalua nachos! Everything they have is amazing and fresh! Also a great view of crashing waves in the distance! Highly recommend!
